The Love Lock Series: The Enchanting Forest Chapter

It might sound cliche to think of love as a fairytale, and while real life presents its highs, lows, and everything in between, the essence of falling in love and becoming captivated by someone’s soul is magical.

My friend Katy Siedentopp recently published an outstanding young adult fantasy novel called Inkbound Inheritance (under K.T. Jay). She has a knack for worldbuilding and transforming a reader’s mind into a woodsy atmosphere, full of adventure, meaningful encounters, and beauty. Her answer to my question brought to mind how exciting, cozy, comforting, and thrilling love can be. Here’s what made Katy fall in love with her husband:

A pure and good heart. When I first met my husband, his leadership and the way he treated other people pulled me in. He spoke to people kindly, gently, and intentionally. I could tell he cared about others and wanted to love them well.

The more I got to know him, the more I discovered his good heart. He treated me with respect, acted gentlemanly, and made me feel cared for.

It didn’t take me long to fall for him. Just a month. A month of deep, riveting, open conversations, romantic dates, belly laughs, and magical memories. He is a gift. God’s gift to me. He’s changed my life for the better, and I couldn’t be happier.

Love is finding a hidden door into an enchanting forest. It’s goodness and sunrays gliding through trees. It’s kindness and water flowing from a well, wishes coming true, soft grass beneath your feet. Falling in love is effortless and inviting, a spellbinding escape that makes life shimmer.
